Deterministic nanoantenna array design for stable plasmon-enhanced harmonic generation

Abstract Plasmonic nanoantennas have been extensively explored to boost nonlinear optical processes due their capabilities confine fields on the nanoscale. In harmonic generation, nanoantenna array architectures are often employed increase number of emitters in order efficiently enhance emission. A small laser focus spot maximizes yield since it scales nonlinearly with incident intensity. However, lying at boundary a focused beam may exhibit significant deviations comparison those center Gaussian intensity distribution beam. This spatial inhomogeneity can cause power instability emitted harmonics when lateral position is not stable which we observed plasmon-enhanced third-harmonic generation (THG). Hence, propose method for deterministically designing density decrease position-dependent THG yield. based reducing ratio between ambiguous located and total within diameter stability, term as ambiguity ( ROA ). We find that coefficient variation measured plasmonic enhancement decreases . Thus, our beneficial reliable sensors or devices consisting arrays enhancing output signals.
